Hi!
Here are some photos of the Communica helmets and headsets I have decided to include with this aircraft. I estimate these are worth about £250!
As you can see from the photo above, the helmet bags actually match the colur scheme of the trike side skirts and the wing. Very classy!
The white helmet has a seperate headset (displayed between the helmets). The red helmet has internal ear defenders and boom microphone. It also has the same skull and cross bones decal as on the fin.
You can see the helmets and headsets are the prestigious Communica brand.
When I tried gently rotating the prop today I discovered that the engine is unwilling to turn. I expect this is due to the piston rings sticking to the cylinder liners. As explained in my eBay listing, the engine will need stripping down to inspect and probably replace the little end and big end roller bearings. During that strip down the piston rings and cylinder liners can be inspected. They could have rusted together - without an inspection it is impossible to tell. Depending on the extent of any rust they could need new rings and the bores polishing, or boring out and oversize pistons fitted. This could add an extra £100 or so to costs - I will try to find a more accurate figure and post it tomorrow.
The excellent Communica kit should more than compensate for this extra cost, which is why I have decided to definately include it.
I am of course happy if anyone wants to change their bid (up or down!) in the light of this new information - I want the buyer to be happy!
Hope this helps.
Best wishes, Nick
